RRUW Gets a New Home, Thanks to Regions Bank

The River Region United Way is on the move!

About a year ago, prompted by rising lease rates, we began the process of looking for new, permanent office space. We were fortunate enough to find a foreclosed property located at 3121 Zelda Court, and owned by Regions Bank. The building had a few issues after sitting empty for more than three years, but that didn’t deter us. We saw great potential.

Longtime RRUW Supporter Shares His Reasons for Giving Back

The River Region United Way is lucky to count on many longtime supporters in our communities, people who have consistently given back over the course of many years. People like Gene Crane, executive vice president and business banking manager with River Bank & Trust. Gene has worked in the River Region banking industry for 30 years, and has been a RRUW donor and volunteer every since. We asked Gene to share some of his reasons for supporting the United Way in our community.

Publix Associates Take a Day to Learn about United Way

This week we were thrilled to spend a day with 35 associates and store managers from area Publix Super Markets as they learned more about the River Region United Way and how we help people.

Publix is the second-largest corporate contributor to the River Region United Way through their employee giving campaign and corporate matching funds. These five area stores are committed to always giving back to their communities, both financially and through volunteering.
