Application for Affiliate Agency Admission to the River Region United Way

Organizations providing health and human service programming within the River Region are invited to submit applications for funding consideration by the RRUW.
The RRUW affiliation requirements reflect the values that characterize this United Way and are designed to assure donors that agencies operating United Way funded programs are: operated locally, administered efficiently, financially accountable, effectively governed by volunteer boards, and produce measurable results. Consistent with RRUW goals and priorities, local nonprofit organizations providing charitable human service programs that focus on improving health, advancing education, providing financial stability, meeting basic needs and/or providing solutions to an identifiable current need, demand, or problem in the community are encouraged to apply for funding.
Local nonprofits seeking Affiliate Agency status must submit a cover letter and application for consideration. Letters and applications will be accepted November 1 through November 30 of any given year.  Requests for an application should be submitted to Ann Cooper, V.P. of Community Impact at
Applications will be reviewed by the Community Impact Council with a recommendation made to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors by March 31 of the following year. Upon Executive Committee approval, the application will be presented to the full Board of Directors in April.  Successful applicants will be eligible for funding beginning in October of that same year.
Agency admissions decisions are made at the sole discretion of the RRUW Board of Directors and recognized affiliation with the RRUW is by invitation only. We reserve the right to exclude from affiliation any organization that fails to demonstrate and maintain sound organizational management practices, adequate capacity to deliver programs and services, or appropriate stewardship of resources.
